100% of Funds Reach the Cause
We take a 0% platform fee. Donors cover the standard Paystack processing fee (1.5% + ₦100) at checkout, so 100% of the money raised is disbursed directly to the organizer.
Rigorous Bank & BVN Verification
Before a single Naira leaves the escrow vault, the organizer's 10-digit NUBAN bank account must match their verified Bank Verification Number and identity records.
Donor Protection & Refunds
In the rare event that a campaign misrepresents facts or misuses funds, CrowdAlt works with payment processors to freeze payouts and issue full donor refunds.
How we verify campaigns
Every campaign submitted to CrowdAlt undergoes multi-layer review before and during active fundraising:
- NUBAN Account Verification: We query commercial and microfinance banks via API to confirm the organizer's legal account name.
- BVN Cross-Matching: We cross-reference the organizer's BVN to confirm that the recipient account belongs directly to the declared organizer.
- Document Evidence: Medical campaigns submit official hospital estimate letters and admission notes. School campaigns submit verified tuition invoices.
- Community Moderation: Real-time automated anomaly detection flags irregular donation spikes, proxy IPs, or suspicious links.
What if something goes wrong?
If you suspect a campaign contains misleading claims, false documentation, or fraudulent intent, our Trust and Safety team investigates immediately.
Email our dedicated fraud response desk at safety@crowdalt.org with the campaign URL and any supporting evidence. Campaigns under review have pending payouts suspended within 2 business hours.
